Bison Hide Rug by Mitchell Bull Bear, Milk's Camp, South Dakota

This is a full bison hide, measuring approximately 7 feet by 5.5 feet. Traditionally tanned to a natural tan color, it is stiff and substantial — meant to be used as a floor rug, draped across the back of a couch, or hung on the wall as a statement piece. This is not a robe and is not intended to be worn or used as a blanket.

The hide was crafted by Mitchell Bull Bear, a fine art and hide artist from Milk's Camp, South Dakota and an enrolled tribal member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. His work reflects traditional knowledge and a deep connection to the land and the animals that sustain it.

Each hide is unique. Variations in size, color, and texture are natural and expected. What you see is what you receive.

Display & Care Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity for long-term preservation. For wall display, use a sturdy mount appropriate for the weight of a full hide.
