Ina's Salve
Ina's Salve
Description
Ina (ee-nah) means “mother” in the Lakota language.
Ingredients: Sunflower Oil, Beeswax, Plantain, Calendula, Rose Petals
The recipe for Ina's Salve was created by Megan L. Bull Bear, a traditional Sičangu Lakota herbalist and mother to seven daughters. The plants used in this salve have a wide variety of medicinal benefits! Both calendula and rose petals are anti-inflammatory and gently heal scrapes and/or rashes on sensitive skin, and plantain soothes irritated skin and avoids infections. This salve is unscented, plant-based, and safe for both moms and babies!
Product comes in a 4oz glass jar.
Uses: For soothing relief of sore, dry, and cracked nipples after breastfeeding. For external use only.
How to Use: apply small amount to nipples immediately after breastfeeding
Salves should be kept in a cool, dry area. Do not let salves freeze or melt as this will cause the consistency to be off. The product should still work as intended if this happens, but the consistency will make it more difficult to apply.
