Severe Nerve Pain Reduced
My husband has a spinal cord injury with partial paralysis. It has left him with neuropathy in all extremities, his hands being particularly bad. He reports that his hands feel like someone flayed them constantly & bad days they feel on fire. He calls this a 7 - 8 on the pain scale. Today was especially bad. He soaked his hands a few minutes in hot water, dried them and applied Wahiŋkpe. He said it took the edge off- maybe. He wasn't sure. So, after a half hour, he reapplied it. It's an hour later & he's rating his pain at a 4 & reports it just feels like a bad sunburn now. He is carrying on a conversation where before, he was in so much pain, his hands were curled up and shaking, and he could barely talk. I know everyone's different but...
