Bringing Together the Lakota Made Team
As an Indigenous Lakota woman, my journey with Lakota Made has been one of honoring our traditions while sharing the wisdom passed down through generations. From the beginning, I knew that the strength of this company would come not just from the products we make, but from the people behind it — my family.
Bringing together the Lakota Made team was an intentional act of ensuring that we stayed connected to our cultural roots. Working alongside my two brothers, Mitchell and Michael Bull Bear, as well as a group of talented and passionate team members, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Growing up, we were always taught the value of family and community, and those values shape everything we do at Lakota Made.
When I set out to create this business, it wasn’t just about making products; it was about creating something that felt like home. Each item we make is crafted using traditional Lakota methods — techniques that have been used by our ancestors for centuries. Every time we come together to make these products, we’re not just running a business, we’re sharing a piece of our heritage with the world.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together. Running a business is no easy task, but doing it with my family has made it more meaningful. We’ve managed to create something that not only supports us but also uplifts our traditions and serves our community.
At Lakota Made, we believe that the power of our products comes from the strength of our people — a strength rooted in family, tradition, and culture. It’s a gift to work alongside my staff every day, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share our journey with all of you. Together, we are Lakota Made, and we look forward to continuing this path with you by our side.
Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ — We are all related.
With gratitude,
Megan Bull Bear
