Shea Butter
The shea tree is indigenous to Africa. The fruit of the shea tree includes a nutritious pulp and a large, oil-rich seed from which shea butter is extracted. Locally, shea butter has been an important dietary fat source and is widely used in cosmetics in the West for its moisturizing properties. Traditionally, extracts from the shea seed have been valued for their general wellness benefits, including supporting skin health. Shea butter is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and F, contributing to its nurturing effects on the skin.
