Jewelweed
Jewelweed, recognized for its strikingly beautiful flower, is a favorite among both people and pollinators. The flower is adorned in bright orange with decorative red-orange flecks. Historically, jewelweed has been valued in Native American herbal practices. The sap from the stem and leaves is traditionally applied topically to soothe the skin, offering comfort from minor irritations such as those from hives, poison ivy, or stinging nettle. Additionally, this plant has been traditionally used to provide relief in managing the discomfort associated with minor fungal skin concerns.
